Biol 118 Exam 2
On October 27, 2021 I took my second exam for my physiology course, biology 118. The test was scored out of 100 points and gave students 50 minutes to complete around 40 or so questions. I scored a 56.5/ 100 which has been my lowest performing test since my time has begun at the University of Washington. The reason I tested so poorly was my lack of preparation. The week leading up to the exam I overestimated how strong my knoeldge of the content was and spent approximately 4 hours studying in total. The content in this class is relatively easy to follow if you put the effort into learning it which i did not. I used passive study methods rather than active study methods and i relied too heavily on my notes for support. Going forward i will utilize the preparationtools gien to me by my instructor, attend CLUE at the UW, and schedule more time for studying leading up to exams. This exam was truly humbling and allowed me to see that the study skills i used in high school need to evolve to fit the college learning style.
